USMCA Implementation Success

July 2019 – C. Mack Solutions (CMS) has been successful in aiding Customs and Border Protection in implementing new measures to comply with the new United States – Mexico – Canada Agreement!  We met our July 1^st implementation goal, meeting and surpassing agency expectations. Updates from NAFTA to USMCA include changes to auto export rules, steel and aluminum tariffs, dairy, egg, and poultry rules, updated intellectual property protections, increases in duty-free limits, and increased data sharing between member countries.  According to Deputy Executive Assistant Commissioner Cynthia Whittenburg, “things are going particularly smooth, all things considered”, referring to the global Covid-19 environment.  CMS is very pleased to continue to support CBP in all their technology and program management needs.
